The research team of the Food Virology Laboratory within the Department of Food Science and the Institute of Nutrition and Functional Foods at Université Laval, in Québec city, Canada is looking for a postdoctoral fellow. The project will focus on the identification and characterization of phage models of enteric viruses (noroviruses and hepatitis A viruses) for the validation of disinfection processes in fruit and vegetables.
The successful candidate holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or other related disciplines. He (or she) must have strong expertise in the field of molecular biology and cell culture. Experience in virology would be beneficial. He (or she) must be able to carry out research independently and possess the qualities required for the supervision of graduate students.
The post is for one year renewable.
