About the Award
CACMID (Canadian Association for Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases) is an organization and charity that began from a public health microbiology background and is now one of Canada’s longest-standing microbiology associations. CACMID’s mission is to advance the fields of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases in Canada through education, scholarship, advocacy and the promotion of best practices. CACMID is inclusive of all microbiology-related positions including technicians, technologists, clinicians, medical / clinical microbiologists, physicians, students, research scientists and laboratory managers.
CACMID is now sponsoring a $500 oral or poster award for a meritorious presentation in Applied Sciences in any of the three One Health domains at the annual CSM conference.
Value of the Award: $500 + Framed Certificate
Number of Awards: 1
Frequency of the Award: Annual – Determined at the CSM Annual Conference Poster Competition or Symposium Competition
Eligibility: Technologist (Research or Medical) or Undergraduate / M.Sc. / Ph.D. student (current or within past 8 months) with active CSM membership
