Are you looking for a new challenge and a chance to work at a company that is changing the world? Ceragen is looking for a highly motivated Technical Sales Development Representative (TSDR) to join our team!

 

Ceragen is a startup company helping farmers produce more food by harnessing the power of plant growth promoting bacteria. Our focus is exclusive to Vegetable and Fruit production in controlled environments, including greenhouses and vertical farms.

 

We currently have two products on the market, one that has shown on average 10% yield increases in tomatoes, and one that has shown on average 20% yield increases in lettuce.

 

Due to the technical nature of our products we are looking for someone with a background in either horticulture, microbiology, or a related discipline. On the job training will be provided for both the technical and sales aspects of the job. We are primarily looking for an enthusiastic, self driven individual who is eager to learn and take initiative.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Identify customer prospects
     
  • Connect with customers and set up initial calls
     
  •  Assist with progressing customers through the sales pipeline from initial outreach to fully onboarded
     
  • Work with the management team to set sales targets and develop a sales and marketing strategy
     
  • Head up our trade shows and conference activities. This will including running a booth at national and international conferences
     
  • Help create sales and marketing assets




Application Instructions

 Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Horticulture, Microbiology, or equivalent degree
     
  • Highly self motivated individual who takes initiative at work
     
  • Eager to learn about the hydroponic fruit and vegetable industry
     
  • Eager to learn about plant growth promoting bacteria
     
  • Excellent communication skills
     
  • Excited for the opportunity to work at an early stage company
     
  • A valid passport (or the ability to obtain a passport)
     
  • The ability to travel to international locations for sales and marketing activities including the USA

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience / familiarity with hydroponic crop production
     
  • Experience with microbiology concepts
     
  • Experience with sales or customer service

 

Compensation

  • $40,000.00 / year in base salary
     
  • Variable commission based on sales performance
