Job Description
Review of applications will begin March 31, 2023, and continue until the position is filled.
We seek a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Geddes lab in the Department of Microbiological Sciences at North Dakota State University. The researcher will work to understand principles of the rhizobium-legume symbiosis and broader plant-microbe interactions with an aim to translating discoveries to engineering root nodule symbiosis in cereal crops. Research objectives will involve the application of a wide range of cutting-edge molecular biology and bacterial genetics techniques including advanced molecular cloning, synthetic genomics and bioinformatics.
The researcher will join a large, dynamic group and be involved in mentoring several graduate students in experimental design and manuscript preparation. There will also be opportunities to develop independent lines of research.
