Research Interest:

Error-prone polymerases facilitate translesion DNA synthesis and confer tolerance to DNA damage. Upregulation of these polymerases during stress-induced DNA damage results in increased rates of mutagenesis, ultimately leading to antimicrobial resistance. The deletion of genes encoding error-prone polymerases confers sensitivity to DNA damage in Candida albicans.
